Metamorphosis Living exists to reverse the trends of homelessness, unemployment, educational deficits, mental health struggles, substance abuse, and frequent encounters with the criminal justice system associated with young adults aging out of foster care in need in Hampton Roads. We aim not just to assist but to empower, fostering resilience and self-sufficiency.
We are committed to providing our clients with comprehensive, sanitary living accommodations, as well as industry-leading case management.
Many significant milestones in our objective to support these young adults in the community have been achieved over the years, including expanding our programs and enhancing accessibility to individuals with other temporary housing requirements.
As someone who spent part of their youth in the foster care system, I understand the difficulties that these youth experience. I understand the emotion of being forced to travel from one location to another simply seeking a place to call home. After visiting many shared living facilities for adults and temporary housing for youth, I noticed similarities between them and myself at that age in their personalities, and how they describe how they feel about being separated from their families. Many of them end up on a disastrous path due to feeling unwanted. Gratefully, God removed me from that situation and put the desire in my heart to “pay it forward” as some would say. This is why Metamorphosis Living's programs are so crucial. This campaign focuses on teaching these vulnerable youth valuable coping techniques to deal with their past experiences and lead them to a brighter future. The program's most outstanding feature is its ability to assist individuals in breaking free from any issues they may have been dealing with for most of their lives. Additionally, graduates of the program are given a permanent place to live, providing them with the stability they require to fulfill their goals.
Please get in touch with us if you know anyone in need of a temporary or permanent place to live.
